- Explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. Ask yourself questions with the intention to gain understanding. Start questions with How, What, Why, When, Where and Who to learn more about yourself and interact in this world.
- How come my hands start to shake before going into a work meeting?
- Where did I learn how to interact with colleagues?
- When was the last time I felt joy?
3. Set Boundaries
- Establishing and managing boundaries helps with maintaining health relationships in all areas of our lives. Creating a schedule, setting expectations, communicating roles, and respecting space are some examples to support health boundaries in our day to day life.
4. Celebrate Wins
- A key factor in building resilience is to take time to recognize and enjoy the small victories in life. Solely focusing on long term goals and outcomes can weigh on our ability to stay motivated. Allowing yourself to celebrate incremental moments of progress encourage us to keep going and prepare us to overcome challenges along the way.
5. Asking For Help
- Knowing when it is time to seek help and support is a strength. We are not fully equipped to handle every situation completely on our own. Having a support system of different people is a powerful in supporting strong mental health. Just like physical conditions, at home techniques don’t always do the trick so having a connection for professional support is a great option to have.
